Car Insurance Daewoo (Car Insurance). What is the difference between Car door shell and door skin .?

What is the difference between Car door shell and door skin .? For Toyota Rav4 2007 what should be the difference in price????

There will be a pretty large difference in price. The skin is only the outside part, a door shell includes the frame part less the working parts (window regulator and the like). What you save on material is quickly lost in labor as the old skin has to be removed, the rest of the door made use-able and the skin installed.

need advice/suggestions on my car please? Just had the EGR valve replaced on my 2004, 1.0 liter Corsa after having a diagnostic reveal a fault code of P1405. Picked up the car today and he said he re - tested it and it all looks good and the problems I was having are fixed. Daewoo . How long to charge a Trojan golf buggy battery?

How long to charge a Trojan golf buggy battery? I got a couple of Trojan T105 (Ah225ah each) golf buggy battery’s. I connect them up to make a 12V circuit in my campervan for leisure purposes. I decided to place each one separately on charge for the first time. I have a full 3 stage automatic charger, (max 3.8A) output, which does 6V as well. However had the first Trojan battery been on charge for 60 hours and the automatic charger still not registering the battery full. In the week my usual 12v deep cycle leisure Ah110 battery charged within 24 hours on the charger. Generally the charger is quite good at re-charging batterys. I suppose with the Trojans are big capacity and my take a while? They were discharged down to 60%, so my in car voltmeter stated. Is there a formula to roughly work out charging time? car insurance.

Daewoo . How to Do a Brake Job on a 2004 Canyon

The GMC Canyon is a medium-size pickup truck launched in the 2004 model year and was available with 175-hp, 2.8-liter inline four-cylinder and 220-hp 3.5-liter inline-5 engines. The truck uses four-wheel disc brakes for stopping power during regular day-to-day driving. It also has drum brakes on the rear wheels for the parking brake, which seldom need changing. The disc brakes, as on all vehicles, will wear over time and must be replaced regularly over the lifetime of the truck.
Difficulty:Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Tire iron
Floor jack
Jack stand
Wrench and socket set
Wooden block
C-clamp
New brake padsAccessing the Brakes

Step by Step :
1
Park the truck on a flat, solid surface.
2
Loosen the lug nuts on the wheels on the end of the truck where you are replacing the brakes using the tire iron. Both sides of the front or rear must be changed at the same time.
3
Lift the truck by a support piece with the floor jack. The rear should be lifted by the rear differential while the front should be lifted by the front cross-member of the frame.
4
Place jack stands next to the wheel wells below the truck's frame.
5
Lower the truck onto the jack stands.
6
Remove the loose lug nuts and remove both tires.
Changing the Disc Brakes

Step by Step :
1
Loosen the outer set of bolts on the back of the brake assembly using the wrench and socket set. These bolts are actually the caliper pins, holding the brake caliper in place.
2
Remove the set of bolts closest to the axle and separate the brake assembly from the brake rotor.
3
Remove the caliper pins and separate the brake caliper from the assembly.
4
Place the wooden block over the brake piston and then place the C-clamp over the brake caliper housing and the wooden block.
5
Tighten the C-clamp until 1/4- to 1/8-inch of the piston is exposed from the caliper housing.
6
Remove the brake pads from the brake assembly by hand or with the end of the wrench.
7
Place the new brake pads in the brake pad tracks where the old brake pads had been located.
8
Fit the brake assembly over the brake rotor and press the brake pads against it. There should be a section of pad touching each side of the brake rotor.
9
Insert the bolts to hold the brake assembly in place.

Step by Step :
10
Remove the C-clamp and wooden block from the brake caliper and immediately set it on top of the brake assembly.

Step by Step :
11
Insert the caliper pins to hold the brake caliper in place.

Step by Step :
12
Tighten the brake assembly bolts as tight as possible using the wrench and socket set.

Step by Step :
13
Tighten the caliper pins using the wrench and socket set.
Completing the Change

Step by Step :
1
Repeat the disc brake replacement process for the other side of the truck.
2
Place the tires on the axle hubs and evenly screw on the lug nuts as tight as you can get them by hand.
3
Lift the truck using the floor jack from the same point you previously lifted the truck.
4
Remove the jack stands and lower the truck to the ground.
5
Use the tire iron to tighten all of the lug nuts.

Daewoo . How to Replace Front Brake Pads on a Mercedes C230

The front brake pads on the Mercedes C230 endure a greater amount of stress during braking than the rear brakes, as they shoulder more of the load of slowing the car and bringing it to a halt. Mercedes recommends that you regularly inspect your brake pads and rotors for wear and replace the pads when they have become worn to a thickness of 2 mm or less. Failing to replace the brake pads in a timely manner can result in brake failure and damage to the brake rotors.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Tire blocks
Tire iron
Jack
Jack stands
Pliers
Flat screwdriver
Socket set
Ratchet
Drip pan
C-clamp
Brake pads
Brake grease

Step by Step :
1
Park the C230 on a flat surface and apply the parking brake.
2
Place tire blocks behind the rear wheels.
3
Loosen the lug nuts on the Mercedes' front wheels with the lug wrench.
4
Place the jack beneath the frame in the front of the vehicle and lift the front tires off the ground. Place two jack stands under the vehicle, one under each axle.
5
Remove the lug nuts and take the front wheels off.
6
Pull the spring clip from the outside of the caliper with a pair of pliers.
7
Remove the dust covers from the caliper slide bolts with a flat screwdriver. Remove both slide bolts on each caliper with a 14 mm socket wrench.
8
Lift the caliper from the caliper bridge and suspend it from the upper steering arm with a bungee cord or wire coat hanger--do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake line.
9
Open the brake bleed valve on the caliper with a 10 mm wrench. Place a drip pan below the caliper to capture the brake fluid that will flow from the bleed valve during the caliper piston depression.

Step by Step :
10
Place the C-clamp over the piston and the back of the caliper. Squeeze the piston to force it into the side of the brake caliper. This will allow the caliper to fit over the new brake pads, which will be thicker than the outgoing, worn pads.

Step by Step :
11
Remove the C-clamp from the caliper once the pistons have been completely depressed within the side of the caliper. Close the brake bleed valve with the 10 mm wrench. Dispose of the expelled brake fluid properly (see epa.gov for your state's regulations on disposal of hazardous materials).

Step by Step :
12
Remove the two brake pads from the slots of the caliper bracket.

Step by Step :
13
Apply brake grease to the back side of each of the brake pads and slide them into the caliper bracket slots on either side of the Mercedes' rotor.

Step by Step :
14
Replace the caliper over the new brake pads in the caliper bracket slots and screw in the caliper bolts with the 14 mm socket wrench. Insert the spring clip back into the caliper.

Step by Step :
15
Repeat the process (steps 6 through 14) for the other front brake pads.

Step by Step :
16
Replace the front wheels onto the C230's wheel bolts and screw on the lug nuts.

Step by Step :
17
Lift the front of the Mercedes and remove the jack stands. Lower the front tires to the ground and tighten the lug nuts with the lug wrench.

It's a good idea to own a copy of the service manual for your vehicle, even if you just lend it to the independent shops that work on your car. There's no way that they can keep a copy of every service manual, and access to specific instructions for servicing and repairing your particular vehicle can significantly cut the time — and therefore the cost — involved in doing a job. <«" Look in the lubrication manual. Every service station has a lubrication manual that's published by one of the major oil companies each year. These manuals show every lube point and grease fitting for every vehicle manufactured during the year of publication. Your service station probably has the last couple of years' manuals on hand. If you don't have a service manual, ask to see the lube manual if you're having trouble locating the lube points on your vehicle. e* Ask a professional. If you really have trouble finding your ball joints and you're unwilling to throw yourself at the mercy of a service station just for a look at the lube manual, give in and take the car in for a lube job someplace where they'll let you hang around and ask questions. Casually ask for a look at the lube manual or ask them to point out the lube points that they're going to work on. Say, "How many lube points does this model have?" They're usually happy to show you and answer your questions. People who work on cars love to talk shop (and most of them never suspect that "civilians" are secretly planning to do the work themselves next time). If you get a real talkative technician, you've found a gold mine; be sure to ask about the rest of the job, too. Lubricating the butt joints Lubing ball joints is really as simple as wiping the zerk fitting, fitting the grease gun onto it (use an adapter if you need one), and gently squeezing a little grease into the joint. The following takes you step-by-step through the procedure: 1. Find out how many lube points your car has and where they are. See the preceding section, "Finding the lube points," for help. 2. Wipe off the first zerk fitting and try to fit your gun to it. Does it fit? If not, you may need an adapter. Can you reach it? If not, you may need an extender.

Chapter 16: Lubrication Extends the Life of Your Vehicle 3. Load your grease gun with grease. The kind of grease you want is called suspension lube grease. 4. Place the grease gun to the fitting and gently squeeze a little bit of grease into it (see Figure 16-5). Never add so much grease that the ball is tightly packed. There should be plenty of give when you squeeze the sides of the ball. If the joint looks too hard and full, squeeze some grease out if you have the kind of fitting that has a back door. If you have a sealed joint, just add enough grease to fill it out a little. If the joint looks full before you start, don't

Dealing with an overfilled joint isn't terribly pleasant — it's time-consuming and messy — so be careful to squeeze the grease in a little at a time. I know this because I've done it, and those teeny greasy zerk fittings are hard to hang on to. But if you goof, take heart. If "Thumbs" Sclar can do it, so can you! 7. If one or more of your ball joints boots has burst, have it (or them) replaced immediately.
